While we cannot absolutely guarantee this source, the meaning of the quote is still true for us. Each of our staff members loves the job that we do. It makes us happy.  

Really think about what this means. This job is not one of drudgery that we must endure. We don’t drag ourselves out of bed in the morning dreading a horrible day at the office, and once there, counting the hours until we can go home. We are inspired by our service to you. We are truly glad to see you, and we want to help you in any way we can. This means that we will take the time to listen to you. This means that we will answer any questions you have about the service you have received, even if it is months or years later. This means that if you need support in finding a service, we will help you – even if we don’t offer it ourselves. We want you to be a well-educated consumer. You matter to us. 

You can see this spirit in our company culture and policies. We don’t rush through sessions, we never charge you if you need for us to fax your records to a third party, and we don’t charge you if you need to reschedule an appointment. We offer evening and weekend appointments to accommodate your work and life schedule. And while we are a business, and must charge for direct service provision within the context of a client relationship, we believe that information should be free. Therefore, we are happy to answer any general questions you have, whether you are a client or another professional, about mental health or substance use services. Just call us.
